We are here to support you.
Connecting with you
Once we have received your contact, someone from our team will get in touch and arrange an initial meeting with you.
This is mainly to find out how we can support you and
understand your individual circumstances. We can then connect you with a therapist and together you can arrange when to start your support.
Starting your Sessions
Counselling sessions are usually weekly, meeting your counsellor/therapist in one of our venues. We have two spaces, these are at Knapp Rd Cheltenham, and Kingsley House which is just off Shurdington Rd (A46) near Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud and other Cotswold surrounding areas.
Both are easy to find, have public transport links and parking nearby or onsite.

What is counselling?
Counselling provides the opportunity to talk in confidence to someone who is trained to listen in a safe environment. Counselling can help make sense of what you are feeling about situations or difficulties you are experiencing in your life.
Your counsellor will not give you advice, make decisions for you or make judgements about your situation. Their role is to meet you weekly and help you find out why you feel as you do, explore choices and support you to find a way forward that is right for you. You will work in a private, safe and confidential setting where you will be able to talk freely and openly about feelings which aren't always easy to talk about with family and friends.
Counselling at Essential Space can be for up to 6 months, and you can review this at any point and end your counselling as and when you choose to.
